Greg Kinnear, Alan Arkin and Billy Crudup are set to star in indie crime drama "The Convincer," which begins shooting Feb. 8 in the Minneapolis area.
Jill Sprecher's directing from a script she co-wrote with Karen Sprecher. Producers are Mary Frances Budig, Christine Walker and Elizabeth Redleaf for Werc Werk Works.
"The Convincer" follows a desperate insurance salesman whose scheme to get a hold of a rare violin leads to unforeseen consequences.
Jill Sprecher's helming credits include "Clockwatchers" and "Thirteen Conversations About One Thing," which were both co-written by Karen Sprecher. Walker and Redleaf produced "Howl," which stars James Franco and was the opening film this year at Sundance.
Minnesota-based Werc Werk Works' first feature is Todd Solondz's "Life During Wartime." Upcoming titles include Bela Tarr's "The Turin Horse."
