Summit Entertainment is getting into the TV business.The theatrical studio has partnered with E1 Entertainment ("Hung") to develop a TV project based on Summit's 2009 feature "Push."
David Hayter ("Watchmen") is writing the project and will exec produce with his Dark Hero Studios producing partner, Benedict Carver, as well as E1's Noreen Halpern and John Morayniss.
The TV version of "Push" will be based on the original screenplay by David Bourla.
Push" centers on people with paranormal powers who together take down a government agency. Paul McGuigan directed the film version, which starred Chris Evans, Dakota Fanning and Djimon Hounsou.
Summit, E1 and Dark Hero are shopping the projects to networks, but haven't yet found a home for the title.

Summit and E1 will distribute the show in the U.S., while E1 will handle Canada. The two companies will split international strategies.
New deal extends the relationship between Summit and E1. Under a 2007 pact, E1 handles distribution for Summit features in the U.K. and Canada.
