'Modern Family' will kick off the Paley television fest next month.
"Modern Family" has taken the opening night slot for the upcoming William S. Paley Television Festival.
Annual fest by the Paley Center for Media that fetes about a dozen series will also honor Showtime's "Dexter," HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and will pay tribute to ABC's "Lost," which begins its final season Feb 2.
Shows already announced are Fox's "Glee" and the CW's "The Vampire Diaries."
Fest, which takes place Feb. 26-March 14, has moved locations. After gathering at the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, the confab will now be held at the Saban Theater (formerly the Wilshire Theater) in Beverly Hills. New venue holds approximately 1,800 seats, compared to about 800 at the Dome, and tickets sold are a major source of revenue for the org.
"Dexter" hit an all-time ratings high when it finished its fourth season in December and "Curb," which brought the "Seinfeld" cast together, also saw its numbers go up.
