DQ embarks on 'Kathmandu Caper'

Hodges adapts Satyajit Ray's detective stories

Animation house DQ Entertainment is to produce a toonpic "The Kathmandu Caper" and toon skein based on the popular Indian detective character Feluda, which was created by the late director and writer Satyajit Ray.

Ray, best known for his "Apu Trilogy," created the character in 1965, and wrote 35 stories based around him.

Toonpic "The Kathmandu Caper" is being adapted and written for animation by London-based children's writer Charles Hodges.

DQE has acquired rights for 15 of the Feluda stories.
