Marion McClinton will direct the playwriting debut of author Walter Mosley, "The Fall of Heaven," set to bow later this month at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park.
Mosley, a novelist whose works include "Devil in a Blue Dress" and the recent "The Long Fall," based the play on his 2008 book "The Tempest Tales," about a dead Harlem man who refuses to go to Hell and is sent back to Earth with an angel looking after him.
McClinton ("King Hedley II," "Jitney") helms a cast led by Leland Gantt. Show runs Jan. 23-Feb. 20.
