Kevin Bacon has joined the James Gunn-directed superhero comedy "Super." Thesp, just nommed for a Golden Globe for HBO drama "Taking Chance," plays the heavy in the pic that also stars Rainn Wilson, Ellen Page and Liv Tyler.Ted Hope is producing through This Is That, with Ambush Entertainment's Amanda Marshall co-producing. Gunn wrote the script.
Bacon will play drug-dealer Jacques, who destroys the life of Wilson by seducing his troubled wife (Tyler). The spurned husband remakes himself as a superhero.
Page plays his sidekick. Matt Leutwyler and Wilson exec produce.
