The AFTRA Foundation has tapped Juanes, Sam Moore, Charles Osgood, Robin Roberts and the cast of "Sesame Street" as winners of its Media and Entertainment Excellence Awards.
The kudos, dubbed the AMEES, will be presented in ceremonies at the Plaza Hotel in New York on Feb. 22. AFTRA National First VP Bob Edwards will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
Osgood and Moore will receive lifetime achievement awards for "decades of excellence" in their respective fields.
Roberts, an anchor of ABC News’ "Good Morning America," will receive the award for broadcasting and Juanes, a top-selling Latin rock artist, will be given the sound recordings trophy. "Sesame Street," now in its 40th year, will receive the award for entertainment.
