New alternative production shingle Studio Lambert has tapped Jamie Isaacs to serve as its creative director.
Isaacs created the global reality hit "World's Strictest Parents." At Studio Lambert, he'll help create new reality formats and look at expanding the company into other genres.
Isaacs will report to Studio Lambert founder Stephen Lambert. He comes to Studio Lambert from Shed Media Group's Twenty Twenty, where he had been creative head since 2006.
Besides "World's Strictest Parents," Isaacs was behind series such as "Brat Camp" and "The Choir," as well as BBC drama hit "Garrow's Law."
"I have long been a great admirer of his innovative, emotional and entertaining programs," Lambert said.
Isaacs said he wanted to now "be a part of building something that's growing from the ground up."
"We share the common goal of making intelligent and entertaining shows," Isaacs said of his new partnership with Lambert.
Studio Lambert, a part of All3Media, launched 18 months ago. Former Miramax exec Eli Holzman opened the company's L.A. office in September 2008.
Lambert is behind the upcoming 10-episode CBS series "Undercover Boss" and is readying a six-episode version of international format "Three in a Bed" for a U.S. cabler. Lambert also has an eight-episode project in the works with Zoo Prods.
Lambert said the production company's revenues will be divided equally this year between Britain and the U.S.
"Eli has done a great job in his first 12 months winning so much business," Lambert said. "With Jamie onboard, the most important thing is that the three of us have a continuous, creative dialogue about new ways and new ideas for engaging audiences in both countries."
