Hamilton, Nivola 'Lie' for New Group

Hawke helms Shepard play Off Broadway

Josh Hamilton ("The Coast of Utopia"), Alessandro Nivola ("Coco avant Chanel"), Marin Ireland ("After Miss Julie") and Maggie Siff ("Mad Men") are among the cast of the upcoming Off Broadway staging of Sam Shepard's "A Lie of the Mind," in a production from The New Group directed by Ethan Hawke.

Deirdre O'Connell ("Circle Mirror Transformation") and Frank Whaley also are among the cast of the 1985 play about a man who believes he might have murdered his wife.

Hawke previously helmed Jonathan Marc Sherman's play "Things We Want" for the New Group in 2007.

"Lie of the Mind" will begin Off Broadway previews Jan. 29 ahead of a February opening, with an exact opening date to be determined.
