Set for May at Gotham venue Terminal 5, the Off Broadway kudofest will celebrate its anniversary by lining up appearances by vets of the scene from over the years, many of whom started out Off Broadway before stepping up to Broadway, TV and film.
Nominations for the 2010 awards will be announced April 1 with the award ceremony (for which public tickets will be available) skedded for May 2, with a cocktail reception for nominees set for April 19. Voting committee for the laurels is made up of members of the Off Broadway League, Actors' Equity, the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society and the Lortel Foundation, as well as journos, academics and other industry pros.
Kudos ceremony will benefit the Actors Fund, the legit human services org.
Awards are produced by the Off Broadway League's Lortel Awards Producing and Administration Committee, by special arrangement with the Lortel Foundation and with support from Theater Development Fund.
