Theater chain chief Alvin M. Frank dies

Chairman emeritus was longtime leader of family biz

Alvin M. Frank, chairman emeritus of Frank Theaters, died Nov. 7 in Florida after a long career leading the family business his father Samuel Frank initially founded after his own career with Warner Brothers tycoon Jack Warner.

Responsible for leading the family business into growth on the East Coast, Frank, 79, is survived by his wife Betty, a brother Carl, two daughters, a son and his grandchildren.

Donations may be made to the Will Rogers Institute.
