"Grey's" (5.4 rating/13 share in 18-49, 14.4 million viewers overall) fought off "CSI" (4.0/10, 16.9 million) at 9 p.m., despite the CBS drama posting a season high in audience as its three-part crossover with "CSI: Miami" and "CSI: NY" concluded. From 9 to 9:30 p.m., CSI effectively matched "The Office" (4.0/10, 7.8 million) in the demo while more than doubling the NBC comedy's overall viewership.
The Peacock's "30 Rock" (2.9/7, 5.8 million) was tops among men 18-34 against its competition. Fox offered "Fringe" (2.2/5, 5.9 million), while the CW had "Supernatural" (1.3/3, 2.8 million).
Thursday began with CBS' "Survivor" (4.0/11, 13.2 million) easily winning at 8 p.m. For second-place honors in the timeslot, Fox's "Bones" (2.9/8, 9.8 million) bested ABC's "FlashForward" (2.6/7, 8.3 million), the latter almost exactly matching its performance from the previous week.
NBC sitcoms "Community" (2.1/6, 5.1 million) and "Parks and Recreation" (2.1/6, 4.7 million) fought off the CW's "The Vampire Diaries" (2.0/5, 4.3 million). "Community" won its timeslot among men 18-34, while "Diaries" did so among women 18-34.
At 10 p.m., ABC's "Private Practice" (3.9/11, 10.2 million) had its best performance in 18-49 since its season premiere. CBS' "The Mentalist" (3.5/10, 15.6 million) was second among all Thursday programs in overall viewers. "The Jay Leno Show" (1.6/4, 4.6 million) turned in a typical Thursday performance.
