Variety and Intl. Esquire have announced panelists and programs to be featured at the 2009 Variety Media & Entertainment Law Series.
With the focus being on the music industry’s response to piracy, some of the topics at this year’s event will include the restriction of digital usage, anti-piracy legislation, and sales and distribution models as a solution to piracy.
Some of the panelists named include Jim Griffin of Warner Music Group, Andrew Schuon, senior exec for Ticketmaster, and Jim Hillegass, founder and CEO of J. River.
The event will be held at the Paley Center in Beverly Hills on Nov. 19.
