Feature docu nominations for the distinguished documentary achievement kudo are Havana Marking's "Afghan Star," Sacha Gervasi's "Anvil! The Story of Anvil," Klaas Bense's "Diary of a Times Square Thief," Robert Kenner's "Food Inc." and Lucy Bailey and Andrew Thompson's "Mugabe and the White African."
The IDA will also present a special Courage Under Fire tribute to Current TV journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee, who were apprehended by North Korean soldiers in March and held captive for 140 days.
Ira Glass will host the December 4 event at the Directors Guild in Los Angeles.
