"Throughout his career, Jeff has consistently kept Chicago in the forefront through his incorporation of the city itself into the fabric of his stand-up and theatrical work," said Columbia College prexy Warrick L. Carter.
Garlin, co-star of HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm," will accept the kudo Nov. 19 at the Paramount Theater in Los Angeles.
