Fierstein fiddles again

Thesp joins national tour of tuner

Harvey Fierstein will reprise his role in "Fiddler on the Roof," replacing Topol in the current North American tour of the musical.

Topol was forced to exit the production due to a shoulder injury that requires long-term treatment, according to reps for the show.

Tour, for which Sammy Dallas Bayes recreates the original direction and choreography of Jerome Robbins, will next play Toronto Dec. 8-Jan. 10.
