Show will air as a four-night event starting Monday, Dec. 14, with a two-hour bow at 8 p.m. "Sing-Off" will continue with two-hour episodes on Tuesday, Dec. 15 and Wednesday, Dec. 16 -- and then a two-hour finale on Monday, Dec. 21.
Scheduling pattern is similar to what NBC did during the holidays in 2007 with its short-lived "Clash of the Choirs."
"The Sing-Off," from Joel Gallen's Tenth Planet Prods. as well as Outlaw Ent. and Sony Pictures TV, follows eight a cappella groups as they perform well-known songs and compete for a recording contract with Sony Music's Epic label.
NBC also announced that it will air a new two-hour "Saturday Night Live" Christmas special in primetime on Thursday, Dec. 17.
