Pusan teams with Chapman U

Duo to bring Korean cinema to States

The Pusan Film Fest has partnered with Chapman University to bring Korean cinema to the States with its Pusan West, a film fest featuring new films, classics and documentaries.

The fest, held on Chapman's campus Nov. 20-22, will also honor director Park Chan-wook with its first kudo, the Pusan West Icon Award, for his films "Thirst" and "Joint Security Area" on opening day.

Hoping to follow in the original Pusan festival's popularity, Pusan West will also show Asian films like "Drifting Away" and "Don't Look Back" with their directors introducing and participating in a QandA session after the screenings.
