Peter Dunn, prexy and g.m. of the Eye's Gotham flagship WCBS-TV, has been upped to prexy of CBS Television Stations, replacing Tom Kane. Dunn will oversee the Eye's 29 CBS and CW affiliate stations, and he'll continue to serve as head of WCBS. He reports to CBS Corp. prexy-CEO Leslie Moonves.
Dunn has been with the Eye since 2002, when he joined as head of its Philadelphia stations, KYW and WPSG. He was upped to prexy of sales for the station group in 2005 and later that year took the reins of WCBS.
Kane, who had headed the station group since 2005, is exiting the company after six years with CBS and Viacom. Moonves praised the exec for "navigating our stations through the roughest economy we've known."
