"League" posted a 1.1 rating with adults 18-49 on Thursday night, up 56% from its tepid launch (0.7). The culprit might have been the World Series, which the show's bow was up against.
Lead-in "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" also saw a nice week-to-week jump, averaging a 1.5 with adults 18-49 -- up 68%. That reps the show's most-watched non-season premiere episode ever.
"Sunny's" fifth season is on track to be the show's most-watched yet.
The two shows helped FX claim the No. 2 spot among all basic cable nets on Thursday in the adults 18-49 demo, behind just Bravo. That channel was bolstered by the bow of "The Real Housewives of Orange County," which scored a 1.8 rating with adults 18-49, making it tops for the night in the demo.
The show averaged 2.6 million viewers (third to Lifetime's "Project Runway," which won with viewers, and TNT's NBA coverage).
Fox News won the night in basic cable among total viewers, as viewers tuned in to watch coverage of the shooting rampage at the Fort Hood military base in Texas.
