Roadside Attractions acquires 'Joneses'

Company nabs U.S. theatrical distribution rights

Roadside Attractions has picked up U.S. theatrical rights to social satire "The Joneses," toplining Demi Moore and David Duchovny.

The feature debut of helmer Derrick Borte bowed at Toronto in September and was considered one of the more commercial titles available at the festival.

An ancillary rights deal is still in the works.

Borte also scripted the film, about a seemingly perfect family that turns out to be a shill for brands. Amber Heard co-stars.

Producers are Doug Mankoff, Andrew Spaulding, Kristi Zea and Borte.

Roadside plans to platform the film in the spring in both mainstream and arthouse theaters.
