Premiering in spring 2010, "Jerseylicious" will focus on the intertwined professional and romantic lives of six stylists at the salon, as well as the gossip that arises in their everyday banter with customers. The intrinsically Garden State makeovers and hairstyles will also be featured.
"Our Jersey girls embrace and flaunt their distinct style," Style president Salaam Coleman Smith told Daily Variety.
Alex Duda, who has won two consecutive Daytime Emmys for "The Tyra Banks Show," will exec produce. Endemol discovered the stylists and packaged the pitch for Style.
"As we continue to expand our growing cable business, this show will be as innovative to docusoaps as our other shows have been for their genres," said David Goldberg, chairman of Endemol North America.
