Tuner "Million Dollar Quartet" will fill the vacancy left by the sudden shuttering of the Broadway revival of "Brighton Beach Memoirs," with the musical beginning perfs at the Nederlander Theater in March.

A Chicago hit that has been playing in the Windy City since last year, "Million Dollar" recreates the 1956 night when Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley had a jam session at Sun Records in Memphis.

With a score made up of pre-existing tunes such as "Fever," "Great Balls of Fire," "I Walk the Line" and "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On," among others, "Million Dollar" aims to tap the baby boomer demo that has helped make Four Seasons bio-tuner "Jersey Boys" a hit.

Show was created and co-written by writer-director-producer Floyd Mutrux ("American Hot Wax," "Dick Tracy"), with music historian and author Colin Escott also contributing to the book. Eric Schaeffer ("Glory Days") directs.

Produced by Relevant Theatricals, John Cossette Prods., Northern Lights Inc., Broadway Across America, and James L. Nederlander, "Million Dollar" starts previews March 13 ahead of an April opening, with the exact date to be determined. Cast remains to be announced.
