Tolan picked up the Broadway drama honor for “All My Sons,” while Swee scored for “God of Carnage” in the Broadway comedy category and Rubin, Merri Sugarman, Laura Schutzel, Eric Woodall and Nora Brennan nabbed the Rialto musical laurel for “Billy Elliot.”
In the Off Broadway categories, Nancy Piccione won in the drama slot for Pulitzer-winner “Ruined” and Howie Cherpakov got the musical/comedy trophy for “Fault Lines.” Calleri won the regional theater (east) kudo for “The Glass Menagerie,” the Long Wharf Theater staging bound for a Gotham run later this season.
The regional theater (west) statue went to Michael Donovan for the Pasadena Playhouse staging of “The Little Foxes.” The New York Big Apple award went to Nora and Delia Ephron, whose show “Love, Loss and What I Wore” is currently running Off Broadway.
Hollywood kudos went to casting for “Star Trek,” “Tropic Thunder,” “True Blood” and “Glee,” among other winners from film and TV.
