The story, which is being kept under wraps, is described to be in the vein of “Gremlins.”
Project reunites former DreamWorks exec Haimes with several former colleagues. During his DreamWorks stint, Haimes -- who is now managed by Benderspink -- oversaw the Benderspink production “Red Eye.”
Last week, Haimes boarded DreamWorks’ teen thriller “Someone in the Dark” as a producer. He also recently penned a draft of the time-travel adventure “Family History” at 20th Century Fox, and his screenplay “Elevator Men” is set up at Summit with Mark Gordon producing.
Benderspink has the Amy Adams starrer “Leap Year” coming out from Spyglass/Universal. The shingle also has “Arthur” set up at Warner Bros., with Russell Brand attached to star.
