Film Independent has selected 40 participants for this year's Project: Involve, an annual mentorship program meant to help the careers of filmmakers from underrepresented communities in the entertainment industry.
At its kickoff reception, Find introduced another component to Involve, the Industry Track, aimed toward aspiring agents, managers, distributors and executives in film. All participants in Involve, which runs October-June, receive film mentors, access to workshops, career training and network opportunities from Find as well as the short film production part of the program.
Find chose this year's participants based on their projects and commitment to the film industry. Previous Find fellows include "Amreeka's" Cherien Dabis and "Rocket Science's" Effie T. Brown.
