The 1930 musical, which has a score by George and Ira Gershwin and book by Guy Bolton and Jack McGowan, follows a New Yorker (Diamantopoulos) stuck in a small Western town. Knight plays the cabbie who drove him there, and Newton appears as one of the town's residents.
Score for the musical includes "I Got Rhythm" and "Embraceable You," among other familiar tunes.
Jerry Zaks ("Guys and Dolls," "Six Degrees of Separation") directs the show, part of the annual Encores! season of musical revivals. Warren Carlyle ("Finian's Rainbow") choreographs.
Production runs Nov. 19-22.
