Reimer was most recently senior VP of acquisition and production for HBO Video and president of Blockbuster subsidiary DEJ Prods. Borshell worked for independent DVD distrib Image Entertainment for 24 years, most recently as president, and was responsible for day-to-day operations for the past decade.
The duo made the announcement Wednesday, a week before the start of the American Film Market.
"Our collective relationships with content providers, exhibitors, retailers, distributors and technology companies is far-reaching," Reimer said in a statement. "When combined with our respective backgrounds, we believe that Inception will be able to bring quality films and other event programming to market effectively and efficiently."
Inception said it's working with investment bank Raymond James to identify and execute strategic growth opportunities. Company offers consulting and touts its plans to work with content creators and providers in theatrical exploitation and sales across all platforms.
Reimer previously held senior slots with Viacom, Lionsgate and Warner Bros. and has an exec producer credit on Oscar best picture winner "Crash."
Inception has hired industry vet Lisa Yedlin as senior VP of sales.
