'Graceland' graces new works at LCT

'On the Levee' also on deck for 2009-10 slate

Ellen Fairey's play "Graceland" and a tuner called "On the Levee" will round out the 2009-10 season for Lincoln Center's LCT3, devoted to programming new works by emerging legit creatives.

"Graceland," about two adult siblings who reunite to try to understand their father's suicide, proved a success earlier this year in Chicago. Gotham production, running May 3-29, will be helmed by Henry Wishcamper ("Port Authority").

World preem of musical "Levee," running June 14-July 10, comes from conceiver-director Lear deBessonet, book writer Marcus Gardley and composer-lyricist Todd Almond. Plotline is based on the true story of a 1927 flood in Greenville, Miss.

The LCT3 program recently began previews of "What Once We Felt," the Ann Marie Healy play that is the first offering of the initiative's current season. That show opens Nov. 9.
