Woody Allen’s London-set movie “You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger” will be co-produced by Antena 3 Films, the pic production arm of Spanish broadcaster Antena 3.
Antena 3 Films joins Spain’s Mediapro in the 50-50 co-production, said A3F chief exec Mercedes Gamero.
“Stranger” centers on a family whose members are attempting to sort out their complicated relationships.
Antena 3 TV has acquired local free-to-air TV rights; Spain’s Imagina has taken international sales rights to most of the world except for the U.S. and Spain.
“Stranger” kicks off a three-pic production deal between Allen and Mediapro. The film’s cast includes Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Antonio Banderas, Freida Pinto, Gemma Jones and Lucy Punch.
Barcelona-based Mediapro and Gravier Prods. produced “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” with Antena 3 Films.
