Former "Law and Order" and "Women's Murder Club" thesp is starring in TNT pilot "Rizzoli," directed and exec produced by Michael M. Robin. Warner Horizon will produce.
Show is based on Tess Gerritson's Jane Rizzoli mystery novels and Harmon will play the title role, a Boston detective. Gerritson has written seven books in the series.
No other casting decisions have been announced. Janet Tamaro and Bill Haber also exec produce.
Cabler is set to launch "Men of a Certain Age," starring Andre Braugher, Scott Bakula and Ray Romano, on Dec. 7.
