Cabler’s launch of “The Jeff Dunham Show” scored a record 5.3 million viewers Thursday, the best for a premiere of any show in the net’s history. Including a repeat of the episode later that night, total viewers rose to 7.9 million.
Show received a 2.6 rating in the 18-49 demo.
Dunham, a ventriloquist whose work with puppets is one of the hottest live acts in the country, has also fared well with specials on the net over the past few years and has another spesh scheduled to air in fall 2010.
Skein is produced by Levity Entertainment. Dunham, Ross McCall, Aaron Peters, Judi Brown-Marmel, Robert Hartmann and Stu Schreiberg are exec producers.
