'Eagle' swoops to Swim

Live-action comedy comes from O'Brien's shingle

Adult Swim has given a pilot order to "Eagleheart," a live-action comedy from Conan O'Brien's Conaco shingle.

Project centers on the fate of a fading TV action icon, and begins when a low-level TV exec is sent to Texas to produce an action series ("Eagleheart") with the star. Instead, he winds up in a power struggle with the temperamental thesp.

Besides Conaco, Dakota Films is also attached to produce.

Michael Koman ("Important Things With Demetri Martin) and Andrew Weinberg ("The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien"), both of whom worked on O'Brien's New York-based "Late Night," are writing and will exec produce.

Also on board to exec produce are Conaco's David Kissinger and Dakota Films' Troy Miller.
