'Lovely Bones' performs for Royal Film

Fund-raiser taps Peter Jackson film for event

"The Lovely Bones" has been selected as this year's Royal Film Performance, The Cinema & Television Benevolent Fund's biggest fund-raiser.

The adapted screenplay from Alice Sebold's best-selling novel will be screened in late November in Leicester Square in London. The story follows a girl who has been murdered and tells her tale while watching her over her family and her murderer. Many of the film's stars (Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz, Susan Sarandon and Stanley Tucci) are expected to attend as well as the royal family.

The Royal Film Performance is in its 63rd year. All money raised from the event goes directly to support industry employees and their families.
