UTA partners lit man Thuan

Dealmaker becomes 21st partner at the agency

Longtime UTA motion picture lit agent Julien Thuan has joined its partnership ranks.

The dealmaker becomes the 21st partner at the agency. In the motion picture lit department, he joins Jeremy Zimmer, David Kramer, Andrew Cannava, Rich Klubeck, Blair Kohan, Steve Rabineau and Howard Sanders.

"Julien is a consummate agent whose passion, skill and taste have not only elevated the careers of his clients, but also contributed greatly to the culture and success of UTA," said motion picture lit department head David Kramer. "He perfectly embodies our long-standing success in growing exceptional agents from our mailroom to our partnership."

Thuan interned at UTA while at Duke U., entered the trainee program after graduating and moved to the mailroom. He became an agent in 2000.

His list includes such writer-directors as Nicholas Stoller, Drew Goddard and Hideo Nakata; scribes Jarrad Paul & Andrew Mogel, Rodney Rothman, Michael Schur, Gustin Nash & Jesse Cale, Brad Copeland, Joshua Safran, Liz Tuccillo, Nick Kazan, Jessica Goldberg and Seth Green and Matt Senreich; and producers Roy Lee and Doug Davison.
