Among those films, 73 are world premieres and 311 are market debuts, according to AFM managing director Jonathan Wolf.
Number of films screening is down from the same point last year, when 513 films were set to screen.
Among the offerings are several pics that premiered at last month's Toronto Film Festival. They include Rodrigo Garcia's "Mother and Child," from sales company WestEnd Films; Hanway's Michael Caine starrer "Harry Brown"; K5 Intl.'s "Get Low," which Sony Classics picked up for domestic release; and Toronto opener "Creation," also from Hanway, toplining Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly. "Creation" was recently picked up for U.S. distribution by Newmarket.
AFI Fest (Oct. 30-Nov. 7), which overlaps and partners with AFM, will screen 23 films that are also represented at the market. They include Bold Films' Joe Dante-helmed 3D pic "The Hole" and the Little Film Co.'s Christopher Plummer-Helen Mirren starrer "The Last Station," which was just picked up by Sony Classics.
