Modern retelling of 'Wonderland' to air on Dec. 6

Syfy has set Dec. 6 as the premiere date for its four-hour miniseries "Alice," based on the classic Lewis Carroll books "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass."

Two-parter, which gives the story a modern spin, will air over consecutive nights. Cast includes Kathy Bates, Tim Curry, Colm Meaney, Harry Dean Stanton and Caterina Scorsone as Alice.

Mini is produced by RHI Entertainment, Studio Eight and Canadian-based Reunion Pictures. Exec producers are Matthew O'Connor, Lisa Richardson, Jamie Brown, Robert Halmi Sr. and Robert Halmi Jr.
