I-Emmys to honor David Frost

TV personality to receve Founders Award

David Frost will receive the Intl. Emmy Founders Award during the International Emmys Nov. 23 at the Hilton Hotel in Gotham.

Frost, known for his interviews with former president Richard Nixon that were depicted in last year's "Frost/Nixon," will also speak at the November Emmy board meeting luncheon.

The I-Emmys honor excellence in programming produced outside the U.S.

Meanwhile, Thailand will be repped for the first time among 41 nominees from 17 countries.

Former U.S. secretary of state Henry Kissinger will present the Directorate Award to pubcaster ZDF topper Markus Schachter, one of the most important men in German TV.HBO, sponsor of this year's Intl. Emmy World Television Festival, which is part of the festivities surrounding the I-Emmys, is hosting the weekend screenings and panels and a cocktail party Nov. 22.
