Relativity to ride 'Rubicon'

Waugh will direct thriller

Relativity Media has acquired "Rubicon," buying the spec thriller penned by the scripting team of Ric Roman Waugh and Michael Alan Lerner and setting it up with Charles Roven at Atlas Entertainment.

Waugh will direct the project, described as a contemporary revenge thriller set in a Mexican border town.

Waugh's the writer and director of "Felon," a crime drama starring Val Kilmer and Stephen Dorff that had a limited release in 2008. Lerner penned Brian Wilson biopic "Heroes and Villains," which is set up at Samuels Media.

Waugh's repped by ICM and Management 360 and Lerner's repped by ICM and Anonymous Content.
