Jerry Bruckheimer is extending his ties to ABC, which just gave a pilot commitment to his new drama, "Hopscotch."

Chris Levinson is writing the Warner Bros. TV project, described as a "high-concept police procedural."

Project wound up at the Alphabet after several nets went after it; insiders said the pilot commitment came thanks to a strong pitch from Levinson. She's set to exec produce along with Bruckheimer and Bruckheimer TV topper Jonathan Littman. Bruckheimer TV's KristieAnne Reed will co-exec produce.

Levinson's credits include "Law and Order," "Tru Calling" and "Charmed."

Bruckheimer TV's latest skein, "The Forgotten," bowed Tuesday on ABC.
