'Jennifer's Body' screens in L.A.

Diablo Cody, Megan Fox talk horror-comedy

HOLLYWOOD -- Going from an Oscar-winning film to a horror comedy sounds like a stretch for some, but at the Sept. 15 "Jennifer's Body" writer-exec producer Diablo Cody said it made perfect sense.

"It's a dream come true. I used to have a Freddy Krueger T-shirt that I cut up with scissors to make it look like I had been slashed, so yes, this whole process seemed more rational to me."

The same could not be said for star Megan Fox who admitted she was not a fan of horror movies, but added, "I felt like this was much more of a comedy; plus, how can you turn down Diablo?"

Also at the Mann's Chinese Theater screening were pic's Amanda Seyfried and Adam Brody as well as guests including "Entourage's" Jerry Ferrara with Jamie-Lynn Sigler, "Southland" star Ben McKenzie and oddly enough, L.A. mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who snuck out the side entrance after the lights came up.
