Script, co-written by the "Super Troopers" and "Beerfest" helmer and David Gilcreast, concerns an avowed bachelor who suddenly calls his friends to join him on a weekend trip for his wedding.
The $9 million project will be fully financed by L.A.-based American United Entertainment, which has backed pics including Andy Garcia starrer "La linea."
Producer mix includes Vance P. Miller, Chandrasekhar, Rich Perello and American United's CEO Robert Rodriguez, with Kevin Hicks and Donald De Line exec producing.
Shoot is planned for a November start in New Orleans.
Chandrasekhar, who is a member of the Broken Lizard comedy group, wrote Lizard movie "The Slammin' Salmon," which screened at South by Southwest and Slamdance and will be released later this year.
Chandrasekhar is also attached to direct "Opposites Attract" for Bold Films.
The Broken Lizards are in post-production on comedy "Freeloaders," helmed by Dan Rosen and featuring Olivia Munn, Jane Seymour and the Counting Crows' Adam Duritz.
