Pair go for Hallmark's 'Girl'

Green and Greene add color to telepic

Brian Austin Green and Graham Greene will star in "The Wild Girl," an original film for Hallmark Channel to air in 2010.

Pic is scripted by "Broken Trail" producer Ronald Parker and, though set in the 1930s, has echoes of that Emmy-winning AMC Western miniseries in its depiction of a perilous journey. Green plays an aspiring photojournalist who joins a group of Americans traveling to Mexico to rescue a kidnapped boy.

Greene and Gregory Odjig play two local Apache scouts guiding the mission. Matthew Edison and Kathleen Munroe are also part of the cast.

Parker adapted the story from Jim Fergus' book of the same name.

Production has begun in Toronto with Don McBrearty directing. Michael Prupas, Joel Rice, William Stewart, David Helpern, Irene Litinsky and Jesse Prupas are exec producers.
