Boston fest to honor Uma Thurman

Actress to receive film excellence award

The Boston Film Festival will fete Uma Thurman at the festival's 25th program which begins on September 18.

Thurman is being given the festival's film excellence award for her extensive work on screen.

Besides the honor, Thurman's pic "Motherhood" will open the festival on September 18 at the Landmark Kendall Square Theatre.
