The gritty, U.K.-set revenge drama, penned by "Sexy Beast" scribes Louis Mellis and David Scinto, toplines Ray Winstone as a man who discovers his wife is cheating on him. His buddies then kidnap her French lover and hold him captive.
The pic also stars Joanne Whalley, Ian McShane, Tom Wilkinson, John Hurt and Stephen Dillane.
Photographer and commercials helmer Venville makes his feature debut with "Chest."
Producers are Anonymous Content's Steve Golin and Passenger's Richard Brown.
Image, which is chiefly a homevid distrib, has ramped up its theatrical ambitions of late. Among its recent pickups are Jennifer Aniston starrer "Management" and "The Other Man," with Liam Neeson.
"Chest" will premiere at the London Film Festival in November, followed by its U.K. release via Momentum.
Image will also give the pic an Oscar qualifying run in 2009.
