Disney’s kid pic also picked up honors for Manolo Cardona for supporting actor at the ceremony held Friday night.
Luis Guzman won the actor prize for his portrayal of an unfaithful husband in the Puerto Rican pic “Maldeamores.” The pic also nabbed top honors for director Carlitos Ruiz Ruiz.
The Imagen kudos, which honor positive portrayals of Latinos and Latino culture in film and TV, feted veteran agent Emanuel Nunez with its lifetime achievement award.
On the TV side, Lifetime’s “Little Girl Lost: The Delimar Vera Story” won top honors, with the show’s Hector Bustamante picking up a nod in the lead actor category.
Two stars of ABC’s “Ugly Betty,” America Ferrera and Ana Ortiz, won for actress and supporting actress, respectively. Raymond Cruz won for his supporting turn on TNT’s “The Closer.”
Kidvid “Dora the Explorer” won for children’s programming and “A Class Apart” took the TV doc honor.
