BERLIN -- German TV group ProSiebenSat.1 on Thursday unveiled its fall and 2010 lineup -- a mix of new local programming and U.S. series such as L.A. cop skein "Southland" -- as it revamps its channels to boost ratings in the face of falling advertising revenue.

Speaking in Duesseldorf, ProSiebenSat.1 CEO Thomas Ebeling said he didn't expect a turnaround in the advertising market soon. "We've prepared for a long period of drought, but things will improve in 2011."

The topper said Germany's TV ad market was engaged in a price war and added that ProSiebenSat. 1 would continue to cut costs throughout 2010.

The group already slashed its programming budget in 2008 and 2009.

It's now looking to increase revenue through additional streams such as video on demand, artist management and the international distribution of content produced in-house.

U.S. fare will continue to play a major role for main channels Sat.1, ProSieben and Kabel Eins.

Sat.1's new shows include "NCIS: Los Angeles," the spin-off of the channel's hugely popular "Navy CIS." The web will also air high- profile miniseries and event movies including "Die Wanderhure" (The Traveling Harlot), an adaptation of Iny Lorentz's bestselling 15th- century-set novel about a woman forced into prostitution; "The Pillars of the Earth," the adaptation of Ken Follett's bestseller starring Ian McShane and Donald Sutherland; and apocalyptic drama "Die Grenze" (The Border). Also airing on Sat.1 is a new daily soap, "Eine wie keine."

ProSieben is boosting its international lineup with Brooke Shields starrer "Lipstick Jungle," "Defying Gravity" and "Harper's Island." It also boasts a slew of blockbuster pics for its Sunday night movie slot, including "Casino Royale," "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End," "The Simpsons Movie" and "Sex and the City." Among ProSieben's in-house productions is an exclusive show with Brit pop star Robbie Williams.

The group has continued to polish Kabel Eins' profile with a slew of popular skeins and new shows, giving the one-time back-catalogue outlet a fresh face. In addition to nabbing "Lost" and "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" from affiliate ProSieben, Kabel Eins will also carry Nathan Fillion starrer "Castle," "Southland," "Dark Blue" and sci-fi skein "Eleventh Hour."
