The pic, adapted by Reitman from Walter Kirn's novel, is one of four special presentations announced Thursday, along with four galas.
Galas include the world preem of Jean-Pierre Jeunet's satire "Micmacs," featuring Dany Boon, who wrote, directed and starred in 2008 French hit "Welcome to the Sticks." North American rights to Jeunet's pic remain available.
Other galas include the North American preem of Tom Hooper's soccer pic "The Damned United" (Sony Classics), as well as two Indian romantic comedy world preems -- Anurag Singh's Punjabi-girl-in-drag cricket pic, "Dil bole hadippa" (Yash Raj), and Ashutosh Gowariker's tale of a young man's dash to find a bride, "What's Your Raashee?" (UTV).
Remaining special presentations include world preem of Dagur Kari's "The Good Heart," and North American bows of Joe Dante's 3-D thriller "The Hole" and Fatih Akin's "Soul Kitchen." The latter two also unspool at the Venice Film Festival.
