Lifetime is developing a new take on the project, which was shot as a pilot presentation for CBS in 2008.
Eye eventually passed on the drama, which had starred Geena Davis as a Manhattan homicide detective who balanced her job with her duties as the single mother to two kids.
CBS Television Studios is behind the project, and brought it to Lifetime after CBS passed. Scribe Jeffrey Bell, who wrote the Eye pilot, is still on board and is writing a new version for the cabler.
It's the latest stop for "Exit 19," which has taken several twists along the development path. "Exit" was originally developed for ABC by scribe Michael Nankin and exec producers Nina Wass and Gene Stein.
Later, Wass and Stein brought the project to Davis, who in turn took it to the Eye net and its sister studio. Bell then came on board to write a new script.
Beyond Davis, the CBS pilot also starred Matthew Lillard and Rosie Perez. Thesps are no longer involved with the redeveloped show.
