Hong Kong helmer Dante Lam won best director for "The Beast Stalker."
Other winners included Canadian actor Stephen McHattie for "Pontypool" and Indonesian actress Shareefa Daanish for "Macabre."
Korean omnibus zombie pic "The Neighbor Zombie" took both Jury's Choice Award and Prugio Citizen's Choice, which is the audience award.
European Fantastic Film Festival Federation Asian Award went to Prachya Pinkaew's "Chocolate," while the Netpac Award went to Japanese helmer Irie Yu's "8000 Miles."
PiFan's genre film project market, Network of Asian Fantastic Films, also wrapped its five-day run. Nineteen projects from around the world were presented at the market and 355 meetings took place. The winners of production support awards were Taiwan helmer John Hsu's "Shuffle," which won the Puchon Award; Korean helmer Hah Jun-won's "The Arsonists," which won the PiFan Award; and Korean helmer Kim Byung-woo's "Burn the News!," which won the NAFF Award.
Four projects nabbed post-production support awards: Hah Jun-won's "The Arsonists" and Nakano Hiroyuki's Korea-Japan co-production pic "Numeric Love" won the NAFF Post-production Support Award; Singapore helmer Yue Weng Pok's "Tatto War" and U.S.-Vietnam co-production "Breaking Point" won the Kofic Post-Production Support Award.
